I regularly crave Sendai. The fish is so fresh, tender, and thick. Pretty great value and the kind of spot you won't regret even if you spend $50. Definitely get Chu-toro, sake, o-toro. Would try the spicy scallop next time. Their sake is one of the fattiest salmon ever. Their rolls sound really generous with fish and original. Get the storm bringer roll. Would try next time the highway roll and in the sea roll.

Pretty good sushi spot here in Milpitas! Had come on a Tuesday night and there was no line. The sushi rolls here are really big and they are super generous with all the raw fish they put on it. I like how they emphasize on the menu which rolls are larger than average. The food also came out super fast which was a nice surprise since they were getting a bit busier. The staff was super nice and attentive to the point where my cup of tea was never empty!

I don't like raw fish, so the baked salmon roll was perfect for me. The salmon was cooked just enough. I loved eating it with the pickled ginger.

This is a great spot in Milpitas, CA! I couldn't help but to give this place 5 stars. Service is good and the sushi, the bento boxes, and apps are ! Will definitely be coming back.

Came here last night for dinner around 6:30pm! It is located in a small run down plaza with limited parking, so I recommend that you carpool or come earlier for parking. We got lucky that we were sat down right away for a party of 3. It was busy since it was a Friday night, but our food came out SO FAST! Inside of the restaurant was a bit dark, and could use some more lighting. But the tables were pretty near each other that I could hear the next table's conversation. I didn't mind that much since I'm here for food anyway. Their rolls are hella huge, especially the spider roll one! That one is like double, or maybe triple the size of what a "regular" sushi roll piece would be. The deep friend crab(?) was huge too and was sticking out. Really lived up to it's name of spider roll lol. We also got the tempura roll, daniel roll (both are super similar in terms of looks so just pick one.), crunch roll, and the orgasmic roll. My friends don't like raw fish so I ended up eating some of the fish from the chirashi bowl and took the rest home to eat for the next day. The cuts for the fish were enormous too and was fresh. It was not fishy at all. I believe it's salmon, tuna, and i forgot what the other fish was...... but for $30 i think it's decent. I have had better but you come here for the value. Overall, great first experience. Come here if you on a budget and want to be full after a couple things! (:

Picked up some California Rolls for dinner. The order was ready in advance. Their sushi chefs are quick. Sen Dai continues to make one of the best rolls around, if not the best I've tried. Creamy, sweet mayonnaise crabmeat mixture, with a perfectly ripe buttery avocado. Yum! Thank you, Sen Dai, for being consistently great for all these years!

Came here for dinner and arrived when opening, so parking was easy. Heads up, during weekend it can be tight We ordered 4 rolls: Sendai, 237, Sweet Spot and Baked Scallops. All four were amazing but my favorite was 237 and Sweet Spot. If you enjoy cream cheese with salmon, sweet spot may be your go to. Salmon Carpaccio was hands down the star of the meal. Salmon was fresh, flavor was hitting the spot (not sure what it was but something about the ponzu sauce was chef kiss and compliments the dish) 10 piece sashimi was thicccck cuts and enjoyed every piece of it. Our server was very nice and attentive; always checking up on us if needed & the ambiance was spacious inside. We got lucky to be seated right away! Overall, I would go back and try other rolls + appetizers

They could never make me hate Sen Dai Sushi. Their quality, quantity, and price are so hard to beat. They also have great service, always attentive. I've been coming to Sen Dai since 2014 and I still can't find a sushi spot better than them. From bentos to sushi, they excel in all categories. My favorite items at Sen Dai are their Beef Teriyaki Bento, Hamachi Kama, and the Sun roll. I try to get different items every time but I always get the Sun roll. It comes with togarashi on top, making it slightly spicy, but soo freaking good. For my most recent visit, I got the Sun roll, Storm Bringer roll, and Dragon roll. Storm Bringer roll (4/5): Taste-wise was good but not the best I've had at Sen Dai. At each end of the roll, they added fried crab which tasted great. Dragon Roll (3.75/5): They put a lot of avocado on the roll. Again, taste-wise was nice, but I felt like it was missing something. Make sure to come early, it gets very crowded on the weekends. The parking lot is small, so you have to camp out until you see someone leave.
